Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Specs Leaked Ahead Of Predicted Q1 2017 Debut; Device Has 4K Display, Stylus With Wireless Charging Features

Microsoft, Redmond-based tech giant though silent with its device Surface Pro 5, tech enthusiasts are indeed waiting for its official announcement. The 2-in-1 device from Microsoft is speculated to hit the tech market in March this year.

Microsoft has not revealed any details on the Surface Pro 5 and recent reports claim that the company has made significant upgrades over its previous model with respect to specifications and features.

Considering the release of its previous model, Pro 4 was launched in October 2015 and there were high expectations of Surface Pro 5 arriving in October 2016. But there were no words mentioning about the Surface Pro 5 in the event and it was limited to the Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio.On this basis, the device is highly expected to be unveiled this year.

According to PC Advisor, the new windows 10 update called as Creator Update is reported to be not coming before spring 2017. Based on the Creator Update release,  the speculated release of Surface Pro 5 device was also expected to move beyond spring.

But, as per the latest leak, it is found that Microsoft has given the manufacturing contract of Surface Pro 5 to Pegatron, which also manufactures Surface Studio. The report also states that the Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a 4K display, a stylus which recharges wirelessly and will launch in Q1 2017. So, it's most likely that unveiling of the device will be seen in March 2017.

It is reported that Surface Pro 5 is expected to come in two different versions of storage 16 GB and 32 GB, supporting 512GB to 1TB storage SSD. The processor for the device has no proper speculations, as few reports claim that Surface Pro 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor.

Some other reports suggest the device will be powered by Intel's 7th Generation Kaby Lake processor. The type of processor that will be equipped inside the device will be known after official confirmations from Microsoft.

Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to have a full cinematic experience in the 12.5-inch 4K screen which offers 3D support at 60fps. Microsoft is expected to ditch Super AMOLED screens in favor of IPS touch ones and enhancements to the camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity is also expected. Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will likely have a starting price of $899.
