Gary Knafelc, a former tight end with the Green Bay Packers from in the 1950s-60s, says the NFL and its players union are hoping that pre-1970 NFL retirees simply die off so they won't become more of a nuisance in asking for financial help for medical expenses incurred because of their injuries.
