Tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN, the No. 5 Kansas Jayhawks (21-6, 12-2 Big 12) will attempt to lock up a share of the conference title on their home floor when they host the scrappy Oklahoma Sooners (20-7, 9-5 Big 12), who hung tough in the first meeting between the two teams. Winning the regular season title was a big deal prior to the start of the season according to backup guard Frank Mason. "That was our first goal to start the year off -- to win a 10th straight Big 12 championship," he said. "That's still our goal. Right now we are taking it one game at a time so we can reach that goal and keep making history."

After early season struggles Kansas has rounded into form. That was very clear in their demolition of Texas over the weekend, a game in which they led 46-18 at one point. "We wanted to come out aggressive," star freshman Andrew Wiggins said. "Last time we got embarrassed at their place. We wanted to do the same thing to them, win every minute of every possession."

The Sooners won't lie down for the Jayhawks though. Their leading scorer, sophomore Buddy Hield, is scoring slightly more than Wiggins, and their leading rebounder, Ryan Spangler, is averaging more boards a game (9.6) than potential No. 1 overall pick Joel Embiid (7.7).

Oklahoma is fresh off a big win against Kansas State, and has fully adjusted to the rigors of the Big 12 schedule. "It's the nature of Big 12 play. All year long -- we have played 14 now -- and it seems like every time we have finished a game we are looking at another real good team a few days later," Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger said.
