Lindsey Vonn has inked a deal with Under Armour aimed at shoring up public relations in the wake of the drubbing the sports apparel giant is taking for the way the underachieving U.S. Olympic speedskating team has performed in the Sochi Olympics while wearing their high-tech racing suits.

According to AdvertisingAge.com, the company is hoping Tiger Woods gold medal winning girlfriend can help by touting the quality of the company's apparel. U.S. swim team legend Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all-time, is also being employed as a paid endorser.

The 29-year-old Vonn, who missed The Games while recuperating from recent knee surgery, tweeted her support of the company on Tuesday, without mentioning the ongoing controversy in Russia.

U.S. speedskaters have openly complained about the company's equipment during The Games, some going as far as to directly blame the gear for the team's poor performance.

"Proud to be an @UnderArmour athlete," Vonn wrote. "I've been with them for 8 yrs and they constantly find ways to improve their gear and make me better."

Woods and Vonn have now been publicly dating for more than a year.
