Tiger Woods' Olympic gold medal winning girlfriend spent the Valentine's Day weekend alone and stuck on a plane, according to USA Today Sports.

The 29-year-old Vonn posted a photo of herself on Instagram from the cabin of the aircraft under the caption "my romantic evening on a plane with me, myself and I."

Earlier in the week, Vonn had hinted that she hoped she and Woods might spend the day together, though she wasn't sure what exact plans he might have for her. The high-profile couple have now been publicly dating for more than a year.

Being without the 38-year-old Woods would seem to make Vonn's recent hard times all the more difficult. The Olympic skiing champ was forced to miss the ongoing Sochi Games with a knee injury she suffered while training and is still seeking to recover from.

Over the last week, she has been serving as a member of the NBC Sports and Today show coverage teams, providing insight and analysis of varying events.

Vonn won her gold medal at the 2010 games and has hinted she plans to return to the slopes as soon as she is physically able as well to compete in the next Olympic Games.
