Tonight at 6:00 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (31-21-6) and Carolina Hurricanes (26-21-9) hit the ice at the PNC Arena in North Carolina for the third and final meeting against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Montreal fans can hear all of the action on TSN 690 while Carolina fans can do the same on 99.9 The Fan.
Montreal has won two straight games while Carolina has won two of its last three games. These teams have alternated wins this season, with the Hurricanes picking up a 5-4 shootout victory in Carolina on Dec. 31 and the Canadiens picking up a 3-0 win on Jan. 28 in Montreal.
The Canadiens are coming off a win in which Max Pacioretty had two penalty shots in the same period. He missed both but still ended up with a hat trick in the game.
"I was a bit lost on the second shot. I just couldn't believe it was really happening. Maybe I thought a bit too much," Pacioretty said afterwards, according to NHL.com. "It's a little embarrassing, getting two chances and not scoring on either shot."
Pacioretty (26-11-37) is second on the team in scoring while P.K. Subban (8-31-39) leads the team and Tomas Plekanec (17-16-33) is third.
The Hurricanes have been riding goaltender Anton Khudobin's back as of late.
"He's unbelievable," defenseman Brett Bellemore said via NHL.com. "The defense has a good trust in him. If we mess up or if the puck gets through somehow, he's there to bail us out."
Khudobin may get the start tonight and is 13-5-0 with a 2.09 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage. If he suits up, he'll likely be opposed by Carey Price, who is 25-17-5 with a 2.36 GAA and a .924 save percentage.
Carolina has been paced by Eric Staal (14-31-45), Jeff Skinner (23-17-40) and Andrej Sekera (9-23-32) thus far this seaosn.
The Canadiens and Hurricanes faceoff when the lights come up tonight at the PNC Arena in North Carolina.
