Donovan McNabb Twitter Uproar: Followers Ridicule McNabb for His Lack of Spelling Skills [VIDEO]

The position of Donovan McNabb's Twitter ghost writer position is now open.

The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst was attempting to start a conversation on Twitter about the recent Pro Football Hall of Fame selection process, but his actual tweet stirred up more interest.

CollegeSpun.com posted a screenshot of McNabb's question tweet:

From @donovanjmcnabb: "From the rescent selections for Hall of Fame, are you happy with the choices? Who got snub?"

According to the website, McNabb apparently saw the error of his ways and edited his tweet. He addressed both the spelling error and the grammatical error 18 minutes after his original tweet but fixed only one of the two mistakes.

From @donovanjmcnabb: "From the resent selections for Hall of Fame, are you happy with the choices? Who got snubbed?"

At that point, many followers forgot about the question and focused on his two failed attempts to spell "recent" correctly.

From @ShawnOrme: "@donovanjmcnabb @dcsportsbog Donovan's spelling is about as good as his ability to comprehend plays as a Redskin."

From @TH3MichaelJFox4 (not that Michael J. Fox): "@BarstoolNate @donovanjmcnabb this guy is still an analyst on tv, correct?"

From ‏@Papa__Roche: @BarstoolNate I really recent the fact that McNabb butchers it on twitter"

And from @RyanWillliams: "@donovanjmcnabb @dcsportsbog Donavan fire your social media person. Or hire one if you don't have one already."

Either to his credit or blame, McNabb never corrected the second tweet and left it up on his Twitter account.

But if it makes him feel any better, 29 people retweeted his post and another 24 marked it a favorite. His previous post on Jan. 30 asking whether Peyton Manning would go down as the greatest if he were to win the Super Bowl was retweeted once and had 14 people make it a favorite.
