Is San Antonio Spurs forward Matt Bonner the second coming of Andy Kaufman?

Extramustard.si.com revealed that a somewhat surprising video on YouTube surfaced Tuesday of Bonner - of all people - doing an impersonation of the late Kaufman's famous appearance on Saturday Night Live in which he lip-synched the Mighty Mouse theme song - the "Here I come to save the day" moment.

The video of Bonner is actually fairly amusing and a decent impersonation of Kaufman. It also makes sense in conjunction with a Yahoo! Sports article in April talking about Bonner's improvisational work with the famed Chicago's Improv Olympic.

Bonner works with some members of the comedy troupe and even produces a video of a fictional character, "Coach B" that Bonner created and used in a sketch.

Yahoo! Sports adds that Bonner shot the video during the 2012-13 NBA season last February. The Spurs flew into Chicago after a blowout victory on Sunday night against the Nets in Brooklyn. The Spurs actually had a game Monday night against the Bulls - another San Antonio rout.

Bonner played 23 minutes Sunday night and scored 11 points. He scored two points in 20 minutes Monday night against Chicago.

The seven-minute, 27-second video shows Bonner holding his own the other improv comedians on stage.

The 33-year-old Bonner may be getting ready for his post-NBA career with his foray into comedy. His bio on the San Antonio Spurs official website says that he wrote a blog for Spurs.com titled "The Search for the Hoagie Grail," in which he wrote about different sandwich shops he visited in each NBA city as he tried to find the best sandwich.

Here is the Andy Kaufman video for comparison purposes. Extramustard.si.com also shows the Jim Carrey version of the skit from the movie, "Man on the Moon."
