Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau has denie a recent report that said he has already agreed to coach the New York Knicks season, and that both parties 'already have a deal in place.'

"Come on, now. Come on," Thibodeau told CSNChicago.com. "That stuff's ridiculous. It really is. First, I was being traded. I could care less about that stuff. I've said it before: I love this team, I love the guys that we have and I love the fighting spirit of this team, so that's all I'm thinking about."

Mitch Lawrence of NYDailyNews.com hinted on Saturday that there are rumblings around the Chicago Bulls office that Thibodeau already has a deal in place to coach the Knicks next season. The writer, who also called that the Bulls will trade Luol Deng, admitted that it is hard to imagine Thibodeau having a deal with the Knicks as both parties could face major sanctions from the NBA. However, he also noted that this not mean that the Bulls coach cannot leave Chicago for New York, citing the case of former Celtics and now Clippers coach Doc Rivers.

"As we saw with Doc Rivers' departure from the Celtics last June to take over the L.A. Clippers, a coach under contract can still move on, for a price. In Rivers' case it was an unprotected first-round pick that Boston will get in 2015," he wrote.

Lawrence also said that league sources reveal that Thibodeau was kept in the dark about the trade of Deng, who is the Bulls coach's favorite player. "That's the kind of maneuver that has always caused friction between the Bulls' front-office honchos and their head coach," the writer added.
