Carmelo Anthony has already decided to leave the Knicks when he is set to become a free agent this summer, a former teammate of his tells the New York Daily News.

"I think he's leaving," the source told The News. I've played with Melo for a long time and he knows he can't win here. At this stage, all he wants to do is win. That's why he'll leave."

Anthony's frustration with how this season has gone have been glaring, with the high-scoring forward recently telling reporters "this is not how I envisioned it."

After winning 54 games last season, the Knicks have struggled to a 9-21 start this year and will need to go at least 32-20 the rest of the way just to finish .500.

The News adds the former teammate adds several others close to Anthony have come to the same conclusion about him bolting. The newspaper adds the Knicks are hoping their ability to offer Anthony $30 million more in salary will give him pause about leaving.

Either way, the pressure seems to be getting to Anthony, who spent his New Year's Eve on Twitter battling with fans about the Knicks disappointing 2013 performance.

"I didn't ask for your glazed donut face ass to root for me anyway," he told one fan.
