Yasiel Puig Arrested Again for Reckless Driving After Reaching 110 mph in Florida, Embarrasses Dodgers [VIDEO]

Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig's game has been labeled reckless at times. His record behind the wheel is developing that adjective as well.

Naplesnews.com reported that Puig was arrested in Naples, Fla., on Saturday morning after Florida Highway Patrol troopers clocked his white Mercedes Benz at 110 miles per hour on Allegator Alley in Naples, Fla.

Puig was driving in a 70 mph zone when he was arrested and sent to the Collier County Jail. He was also cited for driving without proof of insurance, according to naplesnews.com. He was released at about 1 p.m. ET after posting a $500 cash bond, a jailer told the newspaper.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Greg Bueno said Puig cooperated fully with the police during the traffic stop. He had three passengers traveling with him in the vehicle, according to the report, including two relatives and a friend.

Bueno told the newspaper that no other celebrity was involved. He told USA TODAY Sports in an email that the reckless driving charge is a misdemeanor offense in the state of Florida.

"Alligator Alley is a rural road that is more wide open than other places," Bueno told naplesnews.com. "We do tend to see higher excessive speed amounts out there."

Dodgers representatives did not comment to multiple media outlets.

The speeding incident was the second involving Puig this season. Before being called up by the Dodgers, Puig was arrested and charged with reckless driving and speeding in Chattanooga, Tenn., when he was still a member of the Double-A affiliate Chattanooga Lookouts in April.

Puig reportedly was driving 97 in a 50 mile-per-hour zone. Those charges were dropped in November when Puig agreed to perform community service in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times reported that the Dodgers had repeatedly warned Puig about his driving since that initial arrest.

Puig joined the Dodgers on June 3 and hit four home runs in his first five games. He helped the Dodgers go on a run in which they won 42 of 50 games that helped them win the National League West title. He finished as NL Rookie of the Year runner-up after hitting .319 with 19 home runs and 42 runs batted in.
