Is Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng the most coveted and heavily pursued free agent in 2014-and not Miami Heat star LeBron James nor New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony?

CSN Chicago.com is reporting that as many as seven teams have already expressed interest in Deng, one of only three players in the league with averages of 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists, making him perhaps the top prize in next summer's free agency class.

Citing league sources, Aggrey Sam of CSN Chicago writes that the Cavaliers, Mavericks, Lakers, Raptors, Spurs, Grizzlies and Nets, among others, are keen on pursuing Deng next summer.

His agent, Ron Shade, refused to identify the teams that have inquired about Deng's services but he confirmed that his client has drawn interest from multiple clubs.

"Several teams have already shown a lot of interest in Luol's upcoming free agency. A lot of people are excited. A lot of people were shocked that no offer was extended to him for us to turn down and a lot of people are excited to get a chance to bid for a player like Lu, and they think it's a great opportunity to might be able to get him for nothing in return if the Bulls let him walk," Shade told CSN Chicago.

He added that while Deng is seen as a great defender and second option in offense, his client can step up when needed. "He's a great sidekick, but when Derrick went down, I think he scored 25 or 26 points per game in the first five games after the injury, and people are intrigued to see him do more of that in a new situation, while bringing the same defensive intensity and defensive mentality that he's been known for in Chicago."
