As reported by TMZ Sports, a viral video reveals DeRozan visibly angry, getting physical with another man on the ground. The other man is seen in the video with his legs up in the air, and DeRozan seems prepared to continue the fight but is held back by a man in a suit.

Things quickly get out of hand. As the fan on the ground gets back on his feet, he insists on his phone, reportedly the cause of the altercation. That insistence sends DeRozan over the edge once more, sending him charging forward only to be restrained by an alarmed onlooker.

A Witness Says Flash From Phone Triggered Incident

The altercation started when a man pushed a phone with a flashlight into DeRozan's face, an eyewitness said.

The NBA star allegedly responded by pushing the phone away, which turned into a verbal dispute that quickly escalated into a physical fight. The melee allegedly sent glass and utensils off surrounding tables, leaving other patrons in shock.

Woman Tries to De-Escalate as Police Arrive

At some point during the fight, a woman wearing a gray sweatsuit is visible trying to soothe DeRozan, saying to him, "He's not worth it."

Her efforts proved futile as the tension was high until the clip ends with DeRozan walking away into another part of the restaurant.

Calabasas officials confirmed they arrived at the scene around 10:30 p.m. A representative explained to TMZ that the incident is being investigated, although no charges or arrests have been made so far.

Injuries and Ambulance Scene Reported

The fan who was involved in the fight was seen going into an ambulance outside the restaurant shortly after the altercation, according to witnesses. They say he had visible injuries during the fight, although the full extent is unknown.

Meanwhile, DeRozan seemed to be unscathed but clearly exasperated as the altercation wound down.

As of writing, the Sacramento Kings remain silent on whether they will issue an official statement about their star forward's role in the fight. The NBA hasn't commented on whether league disciplinary action will be taken against DeRozan.
