WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair has broken her silence nearly one week after the disastrous promos she cut with Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown.
Taking to social media, Flair referenced the promo where both she and Stratton have reportedly gone off-script.
Charlotte Flair Breaks Her Silence
After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I'd like to take this opportunity to clear the air.

I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.
"After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I'd like to take this opportunity to clear the air," Flair's tweet began.
"I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart," she said. "I sincerely apologize."
Stratton previously broke her own silence over the promo during her appearance on "The Babyfaces Podcast."
"I think being so new into this business, being so new as champion, I don't think she really expected me to stand up to her," she said. "And I don't think she expected me to, I guess, almost clap back. And I think I kind of — look, all I have to say is it's live TV. Stakes are high."

Disastrous Promo for Flair, Stratton
The controversial SmackDown promo involved a lot of petty and personal jabs exchanged by the two Superstars, who are set to face each other at WrestleMania 41.
It was reported that it was Flair who allegedly went off-script first, going on to make fun of how Stratton talks.
However, Stratton took things on a personal level by referencing Flair's three divorces, which includes her most recent one involving fellow wrestler Andrade.
According to a report, the off-script insults does not change the decided outcome of their WrestleMania match, which puts the WWE Women's Title on the line.

The original and supposed flow of the Flair and Stratton's promo has circulated online, and it has been claimed that Stratton was supposed to say, "You call yourself a queen, but you don't have a kingdom."
Flair was then supposed to take a jab at how Stratton is only champion because she climbed up a ladder to win the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Stratton was supposed to end the promo with "Congrats on climbing back up...but falling 13 times doesn't sound like a real champion. And at WrestleMania you're falling again."
