The Dodger Stadium was filled with thousands of fans scrambling to obtain the highly sought-after Shohei Ohtani bobblehead. This is the first of five Ohtani-themed giveaways scheduled for the season, honoring the current MVP's record-breaking achievements.
Others keep it as their collection, while some people see this opportunity to sell it to earn a profit.
Shohei Ohtani Bobblehead Night Attracts Huge Crowds
The game, which is at 5:38 p.m., concludes a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves and ends the Dodgers' six-game homestand. As part of the evening's celebration, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) announced that proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will benefit families rebuilding from the Eaton and Palisades fires, CBS News reports.
With gates opening two hours before the first pitch, the first 40,000 fans will get a limited-edition bobblehead of Ohtani holding both a bat and his MVP Award. But because of the huge demand, the Dodgers subsequently confirmed that all fans attending will be given one.
Dozens of fans started arriving outside Chavez Ravine as early as 10 a.m., some with lawn chairs and camping out for hours. The demand is similar to last year's Ohtani bobblehead nights, when excited fans stood in line well ahead of time hoping to get a memento of the Japanese sensation.

How Much Will the Shohei Ohtani Bobblehead Sell?
For others, though, the collectible has little to do with fandom and everything to do with profit. One fan told KNX News that he just used the day to resell the bobblehead on the secondary market.
"I'm not a big fan," he confessed. "I'm here to make money. I think this will sell for around $300."
This follows from last year's special gold Ohtani bobblehead that included his dog Decoy, which was resold for up to $6,000.
Ohtani's Record-Breaking Season Immortalized
The bobblehead pays tribute to Ohtani's incredible 2024 campaign, where he became the first player in Major League Baseball history to record 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season. With such an impressive achievement, it's no surprise that the demand for Ohtani memorabilia is sky-high.
This is only the first of the Dodgers' long promotional calendar, featuring a total of 21 bobblehead giveaways this season. With four additional Ohtani-themed bobbleheads to come, fans will have more chances to add to their collections of memorabilia celebrating one of baseball's most dynamic stars.
