
Rumors have been circulating the WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura is set to leave the company. These rumors have claimed that Nakamura's deal is set to expire, and the "King of Strong Style" has chosen not to renew.
Nakamura is Also Not Working on a Part-Time Basis
"For some reason, there were people lying and saying that Wade Keller claimed that he was leaving (WWE)," Sean Ross Sapp said on "The Hump" regarding Nakamura. "Wade Keller didn't say that. It wasn't reported so it wasn't the case."
Sapp likewise clarified the notion that Nakamura is on a part-time deal, stating that the WWE Superstar has a full-time deal with the company.
"He worked I think 55 matches last year. He worked like 60 to 70 (matches) the year before," Sapp pointed out. "It's been pretty well even since the COVID years, but he's on a full-time deal."
"Also, dude's getting a little bit older," Sapp added. "He likes his surfing, he's 45 years old and signed a new deal last year."
Dave Meltzer has also said that the rumors of Nakamura leaving are not true. According to Meltzer, sources within WWE have confirmed to him that Nakamura is not going anywhere.
Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE Career
Nakamura made is long-awaited WWE debut in 2016, initially competing in NXT. He won the NXT Championship twice before moving to the main roster in 2017.
A Men's Royal Rumble winner, Nakamura is also a three-time United States Champion and a one-time Intercontinental Champion. He likewise won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship once.
While he technically never won the King of the Ring, the King of the Ring crown came to his possession after he beat Baron Corbin, the actual holder of the title, in a "Battle for the Crown" match.
