It looks like Anthony Edwards is not done picking up technical fouls for this season as he received his 16th one during the Minnesota Timberwolves' 111-102 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers.

As a result, it has been reported that he is expected to receive a one-game suspension, along with a fine.

According to the NBA, "rules state a player receives a one-game suspension after picking up 16 technical fouls in a season."

"For every two additional technicals, the suspension will increase by one game," the league added.

What Happened?

Edwards received a technical foul after he and Los Angeles' Jarred Vanderbilt began shoving one another at the end of the first quarter. A technical foul was likewise called on Vanderbilt.

Edwards' second technical foul came as a result of the 23-year-old for arguing a foul call during the third quarter. A second technical foul leads to an automatic ejection, as pointed out by CBS Sports.

However, the drama did not end there as Edwards decided to throw the ball into the stands as he was being ejected from the court.
