The USA and Canada already had an unforgettable encounter on Saturday, attracting more than 5 million viewers. Tonight, with the 4 Nations championship at stake, Roenick thinks that tonight's final will break even more viewing records.

"This is a very big game, not only for Canada, not only for us, but for hockey," Roenick said. "There will be more people watching tonight's game than any game in the past 20 years."

It's a passionate statement that he said, but considering the amount of skill on the ice and the longstanding rivalry between these two hockey giants, he may be correct.

Political Tensions Add Fuel to the Fire

As if things weren't competitive enough, this USA vs. Canada showdown has added a political dimension. Recent news has amped up the competition, with the two nations in a trade dispute and incendiary comments by Donald Trump indicating that Canada might become the 51st state.

Roenick observed that some Canadians were booing the US when the National Anthem played. The NHL Hall of Famer said that it's not about sports anymore. Rather, it's also personal business now. He added that it was great to bring some heat to the game.

Roenick isn't the only one psyched about this legendary final. The Powers brothers, hosts of the popular hockey podcast Empty Netters, were thrilled to share their enthusiasm with TMZ Sports.

Chris Powers, a devoted Team USA fan, is excited to see this rematch, no matter what.

"I'm rooting for the USA hard, of course. But even if we lose, I'm so glad we got this game. I'm so, so glad we got this rematch. Everybody wanted it. We get to see it. It's gonna be so much fun tonight—win or lose, man, action out the wazoo. I cannot wait!"
