Jake Paul shocked the internet after alleging Mike Tyson is suffering from Parkinson's disease—but Iron Mike is not going to let him get away with it. The boxing great shot down the rumor immediately, affirming he was in top-notch health and never had the condition.

The internet personality-turned-influencer boxer later walked back on his comments, stating that his statement was just taken out of context.

Tyson's Team Fires Back: No Parkinson's Here

The controversy began as Paul, speaking with streamer Adin Ross, discussed the use of psychedelic drugs such as ayahuasca and "toad" venom. According to TMZ Sports, he fervently asserted, during the talk, that Tyson smoked toad venom prior to their upcoming bout and that miraculously it cured his Parkinson's so that he could come back to the ring.

Tyson's team was quick to set the matter straight. An official for the former heavyweight champ emphatically disputed Paul's remark, stating, "Mike is happy and absolutely healthy. He doesn't have Parkinson's or any other sickness."

Even Paul himself later backtracked on his statement, confessing on X (formerly Twitter) that Tyson never had Parkinson's and that he was taken out of context. Nevertheless, his initial assertion was unmistakable—he outright stated psychedelic drugs cured the boxing legend of the disease.

Tyson's Health Scare Before the Fight

While Tyson does not have Parkinson's, he did experience some legitimate medical issues in the run-up to his bout with Paul.

In May, he experienced a medical emergency during a flight and subsequently disclosed that he had lost a tremendous amount of blood and came close to death. This resulted in their much-anticipated fight being rescheduled for November.

The Fight Didn't Go Tyson's Way, But He Sees It as a Victory

When the two eventually clashed in the ring, the bout did not go in Tyson's favor. Paul, the former YouTuber turned boxer, easily won against the 58-year-old legend. Nevertheless, Tyson was proud to have made it back to the ring at his age, deeming it a feat in itself.

As for Tyson, he wished he had fought George Foreman to see who was the "bigger" puncher during his era. According to TalkSport, the boxing legend said he would like to put an end to this discussion.

However, even Tyson's comments up to this day attracted a lot of interest from other boxers. Evander Holyfield said back in our November report that he would like to finish their trilogy fight soon.
