Former UFC star Nate Diaz is making headlines again—but this time, not for his performance in the ring.
The 39-year-old fighter has been charged with battery following an altercation at the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas earlier this year.
What Happened at Omnia?
According to TMZ Sports, the alleged confrontation occurred on August 25, just after midnight, when Diaz and his team were reportedly holding up the line at the cashier of Omnia, which is located inside Caesars Palace. In court documents obtained by the publication, a nightclub employee approached the group to resolve the delay.
Witnesses claim the encounter turned physical when Diaz pushed the club official, who then pushed back. In response, Diaz allegedly struck the employee in the face with an open right hand, knocking the man's glasses off.
Video footage of the incident, which emerged in September, seems to support the allegations. In the footage, Diaz and the man are seen briefly shoving each other before the alleged punch by the UFC veteran.
