Bronny James, the 19-year-old Laker rookie and son of LeBron James, has shared about his near-death experience at USC, stating he still is working to achieve full recovery after suffering cardiac arrest in July 2023.
To make everyone aware of what he experienced, he shared some information with Men's Health magazine.
Bronny's Health Journey
To recall, TMZ reported that Bronny collapsed during an unsanctioned drill with his teammates USC Trojan, due to a cardiac arrest, shocking the sporting world. Just in time, the USC medical team responded quickly, offering him life-saving equipment, thus saving him from death's door.
Several months have come and gone since the incident, and Bronny said, "I still feel like I'm getting back, I'm getting back to where I was." He described his recovery as slow but claimed he had reduced the dose of his heart medicine, so all hope was not lost.

Preparing for the Lakers' Season
Now, as Bronny James is getting ready to share the court with his legendary dad for the coming season of Lakers, the moment is surreal for him. He said, "Wow. It's crazy that it's gonna happen."
After all the pressure and expectation to live up to his dad's legacies, Bronny concentrates on himself and keeps his inner peace in order to be the best for himself, in both life and the court.
"I like to envision where I'd be if I found complete peace, you know what I'm saying," he said. "I like to think about where I would be if I were in this state of mind. I just close my eyes and breathe."
Bronny's medical scare reminded people of how volatile life can be, but his focus on getting better for a play at the highest level has inspired so many.
Just before the Lakers' season kicks in, many are watching at the young player more than his actual performance on the field, seeing the resilience he displayed in overcoming adversity.
Bronny's Latest Performance Against Warriors
According to USA Today, Bronny struggled once again against Golden State, shooting just two points from his 1-out-of-5 attempts. He only played nine minutes in this game.
For the young James, his goal for the preseason was just simple: to be comfortable on the court.
