The Smith Entertainment Group announced on Monday that they will offer five discount options for fans this season at the Delta Center for both Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club games.
Specifically, Dasani water bottles will be priced at $2, while the arena will charge $3 for a box of popcorn, nachos, a hot dog, or a scoop of Farr's ice cream.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, last year, those items were priced much higher: water bottles cost $5, a bucket of popcorn was $8.50, nachos were $5.75, hot dogs were $5.50, and Farr's ice cream was $8.25.

Chris Barney, president of revenue and commercial strategy for Smith Entertainment Group sent a press release stating "By introducing fan-favorite concessions at incredible prices, we're showing fans that we are listening to their needs, and, there is no better time than now to take this step as more people than ever will attend games at Delta Center this season, as we prepare to host over 80 nights of sports entertainment between the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club."
The team also shared a map indicating where the discounted concessions will be located.
Salt Lake Tribute notes to not anticipate a reduction in prices for all items. Other concessions will continue to be sold at standard arena prices. However, lowering the prices of these five items will help make attending pro basketball and hockey games more affordable next season.
