Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik is set to perform a different kind of routine as he joins the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars."

The two-time bronze medalist in the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024 is the first celebrity to be named for "DWTS" season 33. Nedoroscik made the announcement during an appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" Thursday.

"I want to bring some of that gymnastics, maybe a backflip or handstand. I want to have fun with it," the 25-year-old athlete said.

Nedoroscik is also the first male gymnast to compete in the TV dancing competition. He joins the list of other Team USA gymnasts like Aly Raisman (season 16), Laurie Hernandez (season 23), Simon Biles (season 24), and Sunisa Lee (season 30).

'Pommel Horse Guy' went viral in Paris Olympics 2024

Nedoroscik was dubbed the "Pommel Horse Guy" after his impressive performance at the Olympics, which won him a bronze medal. The Penn State engineering student also secured a second bronze in the team final.

Many also compared him to Clark Kent, who strips off his glasses to be Superman, much like Nedoroscik who also removes his glasses before impressing on the gymnastics floor.

His persona made him an instant hit on social media, with multiple memes made about his laser-focused preparation for his event.

Asked whether he'd be wearing his now iconic glasses during his dance performances, the former World Champion in pommel horse hinted he might "have fun with it."

"Maybe we could do a gadget, keep them on? Maybe a new pair of glasses, match the theme?" he told the GMA hosts.

"Dancing With the Stars" season 33 will air on "GMA" and streamed on Disney+ starting September 4.
