Alessia Maurelli, who is the captain of Italy's rhythmic gymnastics team and also a three-time Olympian, won a bronze medal in the Women's Rhythmic Group All-Around at the 2024 Paris Olympics. But it did not stop there.

A Bronze Medal and a Ring

In an unexpected move, immediately after Maurelli stepped down from the podium for her accomplishment, she was greeted by none other than her boyfriend of two long years, Bertelloni-who then instantly proposed to her with a diamond engagement ring amidst Olympic symbols and Italian flag colors that dominated the day. Accepting this offer emotionally with tears flooding her eyes doubled up the winning day for Maurelli.
