Spain and Germany will meet in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Euro 2024.

Many fans considered the two nations' meeting too early, as they were both favorites to win it all even before the tournament started.

Now, some believe whoever gets away with the victory in their quarterfinals will go on to win Euro 2024.

Spain manager Luis Dela Fuente dismissed "Finals Preview" as the description of their match against the hosts, Germany.

He said Spain is not the favorite in the tournament and that any team can take down anybody.

"No, there are other powerful teams. Nothing is free here - the closer you get to the final, the best will remain," he told reporters.

"We don't see ourselves as favorites, we see ourselves as a strong team who want to fight for everything and fight until the end."

Right now, it is hard to tell who will win this match between Spain and Germany. The two have played 26 matches, with each winning nine, while the other eight matches ended in a draw.

The last time they played each other was at the FIFA World Cup in 2022, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

No home advantage for Germany

The instant edge Germany has over Spain is that they are hosting the event.

However, Dela Fuente does not see it as an advantage for their upcoming opponents.

He has faith that his men can still deliver.

"At this level, home-field advantage doesn't have much influence. My players are professionals and will not be intimidated by the hostile environment.

"Sometimes, that factor goes against the home team."
