The Canada men's national basketball team has announced the 20-man training camp roster in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which will be cut down to a final 12-man roster for the tournament.
Despite having NBA-rich talent, Canada Basketball did not select big man Chris Boucher, who plays for the lone NBA team in their country, the Toronto Raptors.
Boucher expressed his dismay on social media after the training camp roster was announced.
"No comments [shrug emoji]," the 31-year-old posted on Instagram Stories.
Due to its talent-laden roster, Team Canada is expected to be one of the toughest opponents for Team USA in the Olympics.

Canada's training camp roster features 2024 NBA MVP candidate and Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, his Thunder teammate Lu Dort, Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray, Houston Rockets guard Dillon Brooks, and several other NBA players.
Chris Boucher has never played for Team Canada
Despite having several years of NBA experience and winning two NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors in 2018 and the Raptors in 2019, Boucher has never suited up for Team Canada in international competitions.
Several European players, such as Trae Bell-Haynes and Khem Birch, received the Team Canada call-up before Boucher.
Interestingly, Canada has also left out several NBA talents from its training camp squad, including Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brandon Clarke of the Memphis Grizzlies, and free agent Cory Joseph.
