Former NBA player Paul Pierce was deeply impressed by Dallas Mavericks' star Luka Doncic to the point where it startled him.
The ten-time NBA All-Star recounted his experience witnessing the Slovenian guard play for the first time during an appearance on his former teammate Kevin Garnett's podcast, "KG Certified."
"Luka scares the living hell out of me. When we saw him live, at your retirement. The way he controlled the game when you actually there and you see it, it was like goddamn," the 2008 NBA Finals MVP stated.

The game in question was a matchup between the Celtics and Mavericks on March 13, 2022, which coincided with Garnett's jersey retirement with the Celtics.
During that game, Doncic scored 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting, eight rebounds, eight assists, and three steals, contributing to the Mavericks' narrow 95-92 victory.
Paul Pierce makes bold declaration on Luka Doncic
Pierce also recently made a gigantic prediction about Doncic if the Mavericks secure the NBA title.
The 46-year-old shared this insight during a recent appearance on "Undisputed" alongside hosts Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson.
"If Luka wins the chip, he gets Finals MVP, he no doubt will be the best player in the league. Not only will he be the best player in the league, he'll be crowned the best player in the league. I'll give him face of the league," he said.
