Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc shared his verdict on several major new members of his race team.
Bryan Bozzi was promoted as Leclerc's race engineer for the 2024 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix held last Sunday, May 19th, at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.
"He has done very well. It's always very tricky whenever you change, especially in the middle of the season like it was the case here, so there were a lot of new things that he had to get up to speed with," the 26-year-old racer said.
Bozzi previously served as Leclerc's performance engineer and has been with the Prancing Horse team since 2012 in various capacities.
Meanwhile, Leclerc's former race engineer, Xavi Marcos, who has been the Monegasque's partner since his arrival to the team in 2019, was rerouted by Ferrari in a different role to "develop other important company programmes."
Charles Leclerc also gets new performance engineer with Bryan Bozzi's promotion
With Bozzi promoted as Leclerc's race engineer, Johannes Hatz, who just joined the team last January from AlphaTauri, took over his previous role as performance engineer.
Leclerc also offered his praise to Hatz despite being a relatively newcomer to the Italian team.
"I also had Johannes, he was my performance engineer on track, so I had two people in my team who were new in their role, and that was quite difficult at the beginning. But actually, they've done an incredible job and it went really well. Now we'll work on that and try to get better, but it's a really good start," the five-time Grand Prix winner stated.
