American golfer Xander Schauffele claimed his first major title by winning the 2024 PGA Championship on Sunday, May 19th.

The 30-year-old closed with a 6-under 65 to beat out runner-up Bryson DeChambeau in the final round at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

The battle between the two men drew a reaction from popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac.

"2 great redemption stories at the PGA Championship. Xander was finally able to get it done when it mattered most and Bryson is beloved by the fans. Feel good all around. What a drama packed, incredible major!," the 31-year-old model posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Climbing to a career-best second in the World Golf Rankings after the win, trailing only Scottie Scheffler, Schauffele adds the 2024 PGA Championship to his gold medal at the men's individual golf event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
