Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce was visibly happy with the New York Knicks' elimination from the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

The Knicks lost the winner-takes-all Game 7 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Indiana Pacers, 130-109, on Sunday at the Madison Square Garden, prompting some mocking from the 2008 NBA Finals MVP.

"Yall Knick fans are delusional stfu and get over it ya season is over deal wit it .Good yr tho," Pierce posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter after the game.

Pierce has faced the Knicks twice in the playoffs in his career, both times in the first round, in 2011 and 2013.

The Celtics swept the Knicks in the first time around, while the Knicks avenged it two years later, winning in six games.

Paul Pierce steps on Jalen Brunson's jersey

Pierce took his mocking of the Knicks to the next level by repeatedly stomping on Knicks star Jalen Brunson's jersey in the same evening, drawing ire from the passionate New York fanbase.

Despite his gesture, the ten-time NBA All-Star clarified that he holds no ill will towards Brunson personally, but instead towards the franchise as a whole.

"This wasn't about Brunson this was about The Knicks so send me another Knicks player jersey and I'll do it again," the 46-year-old stated on X in another post.
