The careers of Mikel Arteta and David Moyes have come full circle as they are again twined by one football moment that could rock the Premier League.

The pair, who used to work together in Everton from 2005 to 2011 as player and manager, have the same goal this weekend for the last Match Week.

Arteta, now a successful Arsenal manager, is rooting for his former boss to lead West Ham United to victory over giants Manchester City, a result that will go down in history.

City's defeat is the Gunners' victory as the two clubs are separated by two points at the top of the Premier League table, with the London club having the advantage in goal difference.

Arsenal has to take care of its own business against Arteta's boyhood club, Everton.

Another interesting storyline in the last week of the Premier League is that Arteta used to be Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City.

Guardiola and City will not hand them the title because of that.

This is why he is pinning his hopes on Moyes to pull off a victory.

"He's been instrumental in my career. Not just as a footballer, but as a person as well," he told reporters Friday.

"If he could help us to fulfil our dream and my personal dream to win the Premier League, that will be unbelievable and he'll always be in my memory that's for sure."

Arteta relieves Spurs and Son Heung-min's Michael Jordan moment

Arsenal and fans were left anxious by Tottenham Hotspur's game against ManCity last weekend.

Arteta spoke for the first time about the game which their rivals lost.

His household was probably like every Gunners fan's household and pub when the Spurs almost equalized because of Son Heung-min.

"My kids running around the table and going like this [head in hands]," he said while remembering the moment.

"You can imagine. That is magic as well, to have the opportunity to be living it, next to your family and next to your colleagues."

He also shared that he kept his fingers crossed that their London rivals would be able to help them.

He had that hope because the Spurs had Son Heung-min, who he thought came close to the philosophy of NBA legend Michael Jordan.

"If I had to pick a player in the Premier League for that moment, it probably would be him. Michael Jordan explained it many times, how many times he had the winning shot.‌ It was always him. Sometimes yes, sometimes he did not manage to do it. This is the beauty of sport, as well. What can you do?"

Arsenal team news

The major doubt for Arsenal coming into their last game day with Everton is Saka's health status, although the team clarified that he has recovered.

Arteta is expected to field the same XI he used in their last four matches, which yielded them success.

If everything falls into place for Arsenal, they will be able to win their first Premier League title in 23 years.
