Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce discussed the upcoming demotion of FOX Sports' top football analyst Greg Olsen in the 2024 season, as NFL legend Tom Brady is set to start his broadcasting career.

The three-time Super Bowl champion addressed the topic alongside his brother Jason Kelce on the latest episode of their "New Heights" podcast on Wednesday, May 15.

"I love my guy Greg Olsen. They kind of did him dirty over there at Fox. But I mean, it's Tom Brady, what can you do, right? Sometimes you just gotta do your thing. And Greg does a f**king tremendous job. He called our Super Bowl game and he was f**king fantastic doing that," the 34-year-old said on the podcast.

After a 14-season career as a tight end in the NFL, Olsen joined FOX in 2020. He transitioned to working as a full-time commentator in 2021 and was subsequently named the network's No. 1 analyst ahead of the 2022 season.

However, Brady, widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, signed a ten-year broadcasting deal with FOX in 2022 worth $375 million, which will see him begin as the network's No. 1 analyst in 2024.

Tom Brady's arrival as FOX's top analyst is costly for Greg Olson

Brady's arrival at FOX has implications for Olsen's position and his financial matters.

Olsen currently earns $10 million annually as FOX's top NFL analyst, but he will only be paid $3 million in the upcoming season as he gets demoted to the No. 2 team, resulting in a pay cut of $7 million.

Meanwhile, Brady is slated to earn an average of $37.5 million per season with FOX.
