Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is once again embroiled in controversy.
The 24-year-old is under investigation for allegedly hitting a photographer at a nightclub, according to local Dallas news outlet WFAA.
The incident reportedly occurred last Monday, May 6, at 609 N. Harwood Street in Dallas, Texas, home to Lit Kitchen & Lounge and its attached speakeasy venue, Feu Nightclub.
Earlier, the Chiefs player was involved in a terrifying road accident in the same city on March 30, where two vehicles leased under his name were involved in a racing incident and subsequently crashed. He was driving one of the cars.
Rice grew up in the neighboring city of Dallas in North Richland Hills, where he attended Richland High School before playing college football for the SMU Mustangs in Dallas County.
Rashee Rice's car accident controversy is not over yet
Rice still faces eight charges related to the car accident, including six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault.
The wideout played a pivotal role for the Chiefs during their Super Bowl title run last season, setting an NFL record for the most postseason receptions by a rookie by hauling in 26 passes.
Rice will reportedly receive a punishment of being suspended for half of the upcoming 2024 NFL season due to the accident, as per NFL Network reporter James Palmer.
