Liverpool is set to embark on a new era next season, their first without Jurgen Klopp guiding the team from the sidelines in nearly a decade.
The Merseyside-based club has now selected the person who will be entrusted with filling the German tactician's significant shoes.
Liverpool has opted for Dutch manager Arnie Slot to take over the English side at the end of the season, according to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 45-year-old currently manages Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord, which he guided them to a league title in the 2022-23 season.
Under his leadership, Feyenoord also clinched the KNVB Cup this season and reached the UEFA Europa Conference League final in 2021-22. He has also been honored with the Rinus Michels Award (Eredivisie Manager of the Year) for the past two seasons, in 2021-22 and 2022-23.

"It's no secret that I want to go to Liverpool," Slot openly admitted during a pre-match interview before their league encounter against Go Ahead Eagles last Thursday, April 25.

Securing their new manager comes at a price for the famous English club.
The Dutchman still has two seasons remaining on his current contract with Feyenoord.
Liverpool is reportedly set to pay between €13 million to €15 million ($13.9 million to $16 million) to Feyenoord to acquire Slot's services.
