Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is coaching the final games of his tenure at the club, but it hasn't unfolded as planned.
Despite a promising start to the season with aspirations of winning four trophies, they may only end up with one.
Liverpool's Premier League title hopes took a significant hit on Wednesday, April 24, when they suffered a shocking 0-2 defeat against derby rivals Everton, who currently sit in 16th place, at Goodison Park.
Klopp couldn't help but apologize to the team's supporters following a frustrating loss to an inferior side, especially given their rivalry. He openly admitted uncertainty regarding their team's title prospects for the season.
"I can only apologize for today, to the people, everybody who's with us. I know how hard this is for us as well but for the people, it's especially hard. We should have done better. We didn't," the 56-year-old tactician said in the post-match press conference.

Liverpool's late-season collapse
Liverpool also faced elimination from the UEFA Europa League after losing 3-1 on aggregate in the quarterfinal against Italian club Atalanta last week, despite winning the second leg 1-0.
The Merseyside-based club was considered one of the favorites to win the competition, with some fans already making arrangements to attend the final in Dublin due to their confidence in the team.
Despite aiming for four trophies at the beginning of the season, Liverpool would only secure the Carabao Cup, which they won last February against Chelsea.
They were also eliminated from the FA Cup quarterfinals in a thrilling 4-3 encounter against Manchester United last month.
