The Arizona Cardinals have secured a significant piece of their franchise's future by selecting former Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft last Tuesday, April 25, in Detroit, Michigan.
Cardinals General Manager Monti Ossenfort wasted no time getting down to business during his congratulatory call to the wideout, bluntly and quickly outlining what he needs him to do for the team.
"Listen to me now, okay. It's been you, man. We're exciting to bring you here. You got three jobs, all right? Get open, catch the ball, and help us win a lot of games," the 46-year-old executive told the 2023 Heisman Trophy finalist in their call.
Aside from Ossenfort, Cardinals team owner Michael Bidwill and head coach Jonathan Gannon also spoke to Harrison through the call to convey their congratulations and express their excitement about having him on their team.
Harrison said he had already met with the team on a previous occasion and remarked that the meetings went well.
