Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will no longer be able to enter one of the world's most iconic buildings.
The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player has been prohibited from the Empire State Building in Manhattan following a dangerous play involving New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson during Game 3 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday, April 24, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The Empire State Building announced the decision shortly after the incident on its official social media account, X, formerly Twitter.
"Joel Embiid has been banned from the Empire State Building," the account posted.
With a little over four minutes remaining in the first quarter of the game, while on the floor, Embiid grabbed Robinson's leg while he was in the air, preventing him from executing a wide-open dunk.
