The New England Patriots have a wealth of options in the 2024 NFL Draft as they strive to regain competitiveness in a new era under new head coach Jerod Mayo.
Holding the third overall pick, they can select a top-tier quarterback from a highly talented draft pool.
Nevertheless, they are open to trading the pick if an irresistible offer presents itself on draft day.
The team's scouting director, Eliot Wolf, recently stated that the team is receptive to trade offers for the right to select third overall in the draft.
However, both Wolf and head coach Jerod Mayo have emphasized that they would only consider moving down if presented with an exceptional offer from another team.

The 2024 NFL Draft will take place from April 25 to April 27 in Detroit, Michigan, specifically at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in the downtown area.
The first round will take place on the first day, while rounds 2-3 will occur on the second day. Rounds 4-7 are scheduled for the third day of the draft.
Patriots' likely options for the third overall pick
If they do not receive an incredible offer, the Patriots will likely retain their pick and choose from one of the top quarterbacks in the draft class.
Potential candidates include LSU Tigers' Jayden Daniels, North Carolina Tar Heels' Drake Maye, or Michigan Wolverines' J.J. McCarthy.
An anonymous source within the Patriots organization told ESPN, "You can't win without a quarterback."
