Amongst all the quarterbacks entering the 2024 NFL Draft, Michigan's J.J. McCarthy is one of the most exciting candidates in taking his talents to the next level.

The third-year quarterback, who has spent his entire collegiate career playing with the Michigan Wolverines, is fresh off a solid season that saw him win a National Championship game.

Despite a lackluster performance in the National Championship game, J.J. McCarthy has shown some intangibles throughout his NCAA career. These skills may sway some quarterback-needy teams in this year's NFL Draft to take a swing on him.

J.J. McCarthy is one of the best quarterbacks coming out of this year's draft, and for great reason.

He had a really good junior year during his final season with the Michigan Wolverines; throwing 22 touchdowns to four interceptions, lighting up the Big Ten on his way to a National Championship.

McCarthy showed out in the 2024 Rose Bowl last season, throwing for three touchdowns against  Alabama.

The Wolverines quarterback has a strong arm, and has shown the ability to be accurate when throwing down the middle of the field.

He is nimble and has underrated athleticism, being able to move and create time from within and outside of the pocket.

Despite his strengths, McCarthy was below-average in processing and timing, forcing him to be late on his throws.

Being the youngest QB in this year's NFL Draft does mean J.J. McCarthy still has a lot of growing to do, and could take some time to develop properly.

It's clear that McCarthy is one of the better quarterbacks in the 2024 draft and would likely be the second or third QB selected.

Teams like the Washington Commanders and the New England Patriots, could both be looking to draft the Michigan quarterback to be their franchise signal caller moving forward.

A team like the Minnesota Vikings could likely trade up to ensure they get a chance at pairing up J.J. McCarthy with an extremely talented roster.
