Former world No. 3 Jessica Pegula has yet to win her Grand Slam, but she is living the life off the court.
It is not only because she is among the world's best female tennis players or heiress to a billionaire businessman but also because she is happily married now.
Jessica Pegula's husband is the envy of many boys right now, but who is the guy that makes the current world No. 5's heart flutter?
The 30-year-old has been married to Taylor Gahagen for over two years.
Although Gahagen is a man of interest on the internet because of Pegula, it was to her father that he first got "attached."
Jessica Pegula's husband and how they met
Gahagen is a sports guy but on the marketing side.
He was a senior investment analyst at Pegula Sports and Entertainment, founded by Jessica's father, Terry, and mother, Kim.
Her family owns the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League and the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League.
He earned his MBA from Canisius College and studied at the State University of New York, where he received a BSc in business administration.
His LinkedIn profile stated that he started working at Pegula Sports in 2014.
He became a digital and promotions coordinator, was promoted to director of corporate development, and then an executive.
Gahagen is no longer part of Pegula Sports and Entertainment. He resigned in 2023 to move on to Legends Global Merchandise, a company that will handle the sales of sponsorships and personal seat licenses in the new Buffalo Bills stadium that the Pegula family is building and set to open in 2026.
When did Taylor and Jessica begin dating?
According to the sources gathered by People Magazine, he and Jessica Pegula met around 2015 based on an Instagram photo (deleted since) Pegula posted showing them together.
The oldest photo of them on her Instagram account was taken in 2016.
From there, they have been low-key about what they are to each other.
Jessica and Gahagen had her fans more curious about her romantic life in 2019 when she was spotted with what appeared to be an engagement ring, although she never confirmed what it was for.
They were supposed to get married in 2020, but the ceremony was delayed because of the pandemic. They finally got the chance to say their "I dos" in 2021 in an intimate ceremony in North Carolina.
Among the guests were her closest tennis friends, Jennifer Brady, Asia Muhammad, Taylor Townsend, and Samantha Crawford.
They are happily married, and in addition to their relationship, they continue to build ventures meant to help those in need.
They co-founded a charity called "A Lending Paw," which connects people with those in need of emotional support.
"We wanted to help people afford service dogs. Not only is that about dogs helping people, it's about people helping dogs, because we only work with rescues. It goes both ways," Pegula said in an interview with Vogue.
