The Nebraska Cornhuskers are looking to get their first win in the NCAA Men's basketball tournament in program history.
The Cornhuskers earned a No.8 seed in the South Region on Sunday and will get their chance to break through on Friday against No.9 Texas A&M.
This year will mark the seventh time that the Cornhuskers will play in the NCAA tournament since 2014.
Despite making it seven times throughout the program's history, Nebraska has yet to come away with a win, becoming the only power conference to have never won an NCAA tournament game.
However, this might be the year for a breakthrough, getting Nebraska its first win.

Nebraska Cornhuskers: Keys to Success
The team has thrived this season thanks mainly to the play of Keisei Tominaga.
The senior burst onto the scene, becoming the leading scorer for this excellent Nebraska team. Tominaga has put in some big-time scoring performances this year, torching some Big Ten teams behind his spectacular three-point shooting.
Tominaga came up strong in the Big Ten tournament, dropping 23 points in their win against Indiana; going 9-of-13 shooting from the field with four 3-pointers.
The Cornhuskers have a balanced attack this season between four players. Keisei Tominaga at guard, Brice Williams, forward Reink Mast, and forward Juwan Gary all pitch in on scoring.
Head coach Fred Hoiberg has also played a role in Nebraska's resurgence back into the basketball world.
Hoiberg was hired as Nebraska's savior in 2019. Since then, he has built up the program, turning it into one of the best teams in the Big Ten. The Cornhuskers finished 23-10 and with a 12-8 conference record.
They are primed to go on a run; however, they have to overcome a tough Texas A&M squad to do so.
The Aggies are a tough squad led by a phenomenal scorer in Wade Taylor IV, who made the All-SEC team this season. Taylor IV has proven to win big games, which they displayed throughout the season against challenging SEC schools like Kentucky and Tennessee.
Nebraska has proven to win big games so far as well, having four Quad 1 wins and five Quad 2 wins. The Cornhuskers will definitely have their backs against the wall versus the Aggies, but could potentially take care of business in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
