The Baltimore Ravens have made a significant preliminary offer to standout running back Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans, who is expected to enter free agency soon as the top running back available in the market.

The Ravens have reportedly extended Henry a salary offer of $6.5 million per year, according to league insider Brad Stainbrook. Details regarding the total length of the contract have not been disclosed at this point.

As free agency approaches, Henry and the Ravens are mutually interested. However, other teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and Las Vegas Raiders, are also reportedly in contention for the 30-year-old's services.

Henry has spent his entire career with the Titans since 2016, emerging as the face of the franchise since his breakout 2018 season.

The former Alabama player's remarkable contributions led him to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and earn a spot on the First Team All-Pro in the 2020 season. He was also selected for the Pro Bowl game four times, including 2023.

Derrick Henry unlikely to stay with the Titans, but there's a chance

According to league insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, it is unlikely that Henry will play for the Titans in the 2024 NFL season.

However, he did mention that the door is "not completely closed," leaving room for the possibility of the two sides staying together.
