There is no doubt that Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys' running back, is one of the premier running backs on the market during this year's NFL free agency.
Tony Pollard burst onto the scene in his first year without Ezekiel Elliot, rushing for 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns on 5.2 yards per carry.
Tony Pollard Returning to Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys could re-sign Tony Pollard.
Reports from the Dallas Morning News have said Pollard is open to returning even if a contract is slightly higher than what Dallas can offer him, but you can expect there to still be some teams to aggressively make a move for him.
In his first year as RB1 for the Cowboys, he was very effective despite a slight drop-off in yards per catch from 5.7 to 4.0.
In arguing for his return, Pollard is familiar with the offense in Dallas, having spent the entirety of his career there.
Tony Pollard became a fan favorite in his time with Dallas, racking up 3,621 rushing yards, 1,318 receiving yards, and 30 total touchdowns.

Tony Pollard could be Buffalo Bills Budget Back
If Dallas does not re-sign its young running back, the Buffalo Bills could likely make a move to acquire the Pro Bowl running back.
It's no secret that the Bills could use another running back in their offense, after a strong but inconsistent season with James Cook along with quarterback Josh Allen continuing to be one of the best rushing quarterbacks in the NFL.
Next to Cook, Pollard could serve as dangerous number two in their running game and passing game, as well as adding a goal-line threat other than Allen's QB sneaks.
Tony Pollard to Los Angeles Chargers?
The Chargers have undergone massive changes, now bringing in John Harbaugh as their new head coach.
They could look to make more changes, specifically at the running back position.
With the Chargers opting not to franchise tag running back Austin Ekeler, he could walk in free agency; leaving the Chargers to potentially sign another RB as a replacement for Ekeler.
Tony Pollard could prove to be a little bit more dynamic, slightly younger, and possibly cheaper than Ekeler.
Pollard could give quarterback Justin Herbert another formidable option along with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams in their explosive offense.
