Dalton Schultz has agreed to a three-year deal with the Houston Texans, per NFL Network Ian Rapoport.

According to Rapoport, Schultz has signed for three years at $36 million with 23.5 million guaranteed.

Schultz has played six seasons in the NFL, five with the Dallas Cowboys, before signing a one year $6.2 million deal with the Texans last year.

He played a huge role for the Texans last season, who went from a 3-14-1 record in 2022 to a 10-7 and AFC Divisional Round Playoffs in 2023.

Schultz thrived in Bobby Slowik's system, tallying 59 catches for 635 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games, building instant chemistry with C.J. Stroud and becoming a reliable target for the young QB.

He shined in the AFC Wild Card game against the Cleveland Browns, where his 37-yard touchdown reception helped Stroud become the fourth player in league history to throw for 200-plus in a rookie playoff game.

The dynamic tight end has been the definition of a productive player throughout his career, posting 69 receptions, 711 yards, and six touchdowns in 2022; showing little to no drop off in production when joining the Texans.

Things are looking up in Houston for the Texans after a successful season.

They locked up the AFC South only a year after a disappointing season and have their quarterback for the future in Stroud.

Now keeping their core in tack with Schultz playing alongside Nico Collins and Tank Dell, the Texans look to build up their young quarterback in an effort to post a banner year for the franchise.
