With EA Sports planning to release their highly anticipated College football video game later this summer; College football players from all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision teams can opt-in to be a part of EA Sports College Football 25 beginning Thursday, allowing athletes to be compensated for being in the video game.

According to a spokesperson from EA Sports, every athlete opting into EA Sports would receive $600 and a copy of the game as a basement payment with the potential for more money. One Team Partner, who has worked with EA, would handle the player's group licensing.

EA Sports has stated that over 11,000 players would be expected to be included. If players opt not to give their NIL rights to EA, they will be filled in with a generic player avatar.

"We feel very proud that we'll be the largest program, likely the highest-spending program," EA Sports vice president of business development Sean O'Brien told ESPN. "And an inclusive opportunity with an equitable distribution of funds across the board."

EA Sports plans to offer other opportunities to promote its brand and video game with further financial incentives involved. ESPN notes that EA plans on using men's and women's athletes from other sports to promote the game.

EA Sports got the ball rolling last week, dropping a reveal trailer for College Football 25. The gaming giant plans to do a full reveal in May and will drop their highly anticipated football game this summer.

College Football 25 would be EA Sports' first entry in their College Football series since NCAA 14.
