UCLA head coach Chip Kelly has interviewed with the Seattle Seahawks for the open offensive coordinator position on Tuesday, per The Ringer's Benjamin Solak.

Kelly, who rose to fame in the coaching world during his time at Oregon, has gained much interest from NFL teams with reports of the coach having conversations with the Las Vegas Raiders and the Washington Commanders.

Chip Kelly is currently the head coach of UCLA, where he has been since 2018. Last season, UCLA finished 8-5 and tied for sixth place in the Pac-12.

Kelly signed an extension with the Bruins that runs through the 2027 season; however, reports later revealed that Kelly's time with the program would end sooner rather than later.

The former Philadelphia Eagles coach is no stranger to coaching in the Pacific Northwest, spending time as the head coach of the University of Oregon from 2009-2013.

With the Ducks he brought much success with his high-octane, no-tempo, no-huddle offense that caught the College Football world by storm; taking them to a BCS game where they fell to Cam Newton and Auburn.

His success with Oregon would land him a coaching job in the NFL, spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2013-2015.

With the Eagles he would win the NFC East in his first year, but he then failed to win a playoff game through his three seasons with the team.

His final stop in the NFL was a one-year stint with the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, where he was also unable to bring the team to the playoffs.

The Seahawks made massive waves this offseason, moving off of Pete Carroll and hiring former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald.

The search for a new offensive coordinator for the Seahawks included conversations with Alabama's Ryan Grubb and New York Giants OC Mike Cord as well, per Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.
