After a disappointing tenure with the New York Jets, running back Dalvin Cook was released ahead of the Jet's Week 18 matchup against the New England Patriots.
Cook signed with the Jets after the Minnesota Vikings cut him in June last year. Hoping to play with future hall-of-famer Aaron Rodgers, everything fell apart for the running back after the loss of Rodgers for the season. Breech Hall's emergence back to health in his second year and the Jet's poor quarterback play also played a part in Cook's decline.
In 15 games this season, Dalvin Cook only put up 214 rushing yards on 3.2-year attempts and failed to enter the end zone.
Now, the four-time Pro Bowl running back finds himself without a team as we enter the final week of the NFL regular season.
Despite his disappointing season with the Jets, Cooks can still provide value as a secondary Running Back and a strong locker-room presence as teams enter the postseason.

Dalvin Cook and The Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are a potential landing spot for Cook after his season with the Jets.
This season, the Cowboys running game lacked any real sizzle despite Tony Pollard coming back from injury, who is coming off a solid season as the Cowboys' featured back.
The Cowboys average 4.1 yards per carry and are ranked outside the top 10 in rushing yards per game this season.
Dallas also lacks real depth at the position with Pollard's backup being Rico Dowdle, who totaled just 315 yards on 80 carries.
If signed by Dallas, Cook will add much-needed depth to the position and potentially be the number two running back; joining a roster that can likely be playing for a Superbowl in February.
Dalvin Cook and The Buffalo Bills
Like the Dallas Cowboys, the Buffalo Bills need more real running back depth outside their prominent featured back, Dalvin Cook's younger brother James Cook.
The Bills can provide Dalvin not only with a chance to play with his brother, who is having a monster season, rushing for 1086 yards so far. But an opportunity to shine as the second running back in the Bills' offense.
Despite James Cook's exceptional play this season, there's a significant falloff for the Bills with their other running back, Latavius Murray, who is serviceable but doesn't pack the same punch that Davin may be able to provide.
Dalvin Cook can also be another receiving threat for Bills quarterback Josh Allen, especially heading into the playoffs.
Dalvin Cook and The Baltimore Ravens
If signed by the Baltimore Ravens, Cook would join an offense that is spearheaded by a potential two-time MVP quarterback, Lamar Jackson; and could have a shot at the Super Bowl as well.
The Ravens have played most of the season without J.K. Dobbins and Keaton Mitchell, who have both missed some time due to injuries; allowing Gus Edwards to shine as the main running back through most of this season.
If the Ravens look to Cook, Dalvin could add another dynamic threat to the Ravens' offense alongside power back Edwards, as he'd be a better fit into a heavily run-first offense.
