Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco is enjoying a career revival with the team after seeing sparse action for more than a year due to a demotion as the third-string option in his previous team New York Jets.
Flacco was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft with the 18th overall pick after spending his college football career with Pittsburgh and Delaware.
For over a decade, Flacco was a pivotal figure for the Ravens. He notably guided them to a Super Bowl XLVII triumph in the 2012 season and earned the Super Bowl MVP title for his standout performance.
The Ravens traded Flacco in 2019, sending him to the Denver Broncos where he spent the subsequent season. Flacco bounced around the league for a few years, signing with the New York Jets in 2020.
In 2021, he moved to the Philadelphia Eagles, but he did not appear in a single regular season game for the team. He was quickly sent back to the Jets during the 2021 season, where he spent two additional seasons at the Big Apple.
In November 2023, Flacco signed with the Cleveland Browns' practice squad, marking the beginning of his ongoing career renaissance.
The 38-year-old is among the elite group that holds the record for the most passing touchdowns in a single postseason, with 11, which he achieved in 2012. He shares this record with NFL legends Joe Montana, Kurt Warner, and Patrick Mahomes.
