Raiders 63 - Chargers 21

Wow, what a statement win for the Las Vegas Raiders as they decimate the Los Angeles Chargers in a monstrous win. Week 15 of the NFL season starts off with a blowout win by the Raiders. To Amazon Prime's disliking, viewers were probably urged to tune out of the game by the end of first quarter; let alone the first half. I guess Las Vegas wanted to amend for not scoring any points last week in the loss against the Minnesota Vikings, as the Raiders alone broke this game's over on points.

By the end of the first quarter the Raiders had accumulated a 21 to 0 lead. Raiders quarterback Aiden O'Connell was feeling it as he erupted for four passing touchdowns along with 248 passing yards, giving him a quarterback rating of 120.7. These statistics were definitely assisted by the defense forcing five turnovers and scoring on two of them. By halftime the Raiders had piled onto a lead of 42-0.

Easton Stick, Chargers quarterback, had quite a rough outing. By game's end he gathered 257 passing yards and three touchdowns. But this came along with 3 total turnovers, two fumbles and a pick-six. Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby didn't post up many stats but visibly affected the Chargers offense, pressuring Stick to force throws throughout the night.

Chargers running back Austin Ekeler struggled to get going, only posting nine rushing yards and hauling in a handful of catches. For the Raiders, they had no trouble in moving the ball. Even without last season's leading rusher Josh Jacobs, the Raiders were still able to post up 124 rushing yards and two scores. Raiders wideout Davante Adams got involved too by adding eight catches, 101 yards, and a touchdown to his season stats.

Current Las Vegas head coach Antonio Pierce reinforces his case to return next year as coach of the Raiders with his team evidently continuing to play hard for him. Meanwhile, Chargers head coach Brandon Staley counts the days, if not the hours, as the Los Angeles head coach.
