Ordinarily, it would be players or team officials who would likely engage in brawls or fistfights. But for some reason, the scene was different at a youth basketball game in Colorado over the weekend.
A fourth-grade basketball game pitting the Cherry Creek vs. Legend Blue held at the Gold Crown Field House in Lakewood, Colorado, turned ugly after two game officials exchanged blows captured on video.

Cherry Creek was leading Legend Blue in the fourth period, 33-15, when two game officials started arguing. One referee knocked down the other after unleashing a massive punch that sparked the mayhem, TMZ Sports reported.
It didn't take long for other officials to join the fray, although the situation de-escalated at some point.
Lakewood Police probing incident
As of this writing, the Lakewood Police is aware of the incident but has yet to place anyone under arrest. The protagonists in the brawl had already left the gym by the time authorities arrived, per Bleacher Report.
The Gold Crown Foundation apologized for the unfortunate scene and announced that the referees in that game were suspended indefinitely.
"We have informed these independently contracted officials that they are suspended indefinitely from working for Gold Crown Foundation," GCF said in a statement. "Most importantly we apologize to everyone that had to witness their unacceptable behavior -especially the kids. ... We look forward to getting our league back on track, and resume what will be a great season for the kids."
